FlyHobbs is currently offering at least 3 – 4 flights weekly to Houston. As soon as current travel restrictions are removed and United Airlines can review the demand, we expect to be offering daily flights again soon. Check with United for current flight times and dates. 

Typically flight times will stay relatively consistent, but keep in mind that United Express has the right to change the flight times without prior notice. Therefore, it is always important to check your flight schedule prior to your scheduled departure.

For most people, Houston will not be their destination, but rather a connection point to some other location. George Bush Intercontinental Airport is located 20 miles north of Downtown Houston between Interstate 45 and U.S. Highway 59. Houston IAH serves as the largest hub for United Airlines.

The airport in Hobbs is named the Lea County Regional Airport and is located approximately 5 miles west of Hobbs on US Hwy 180 (Carlsbad Hwy) on the south side of the highway.

The code for the Lea County Regional Airport is HOB. It is important to remember this code when booking flights online or with a ticket or travel agent to easily access the flights available at the Lea County Regional Airport.

United has provided information to their employees and travel agents, but it is possible that you may reach someone who is unaware of the newly added flights between Hobbs and Houston. It is helpful to provide the ticket or travel agent with the airport code for the Lea County Regional Airport, which is HOB, to assist with accessing the United Express flights servicing Hobbs.

Yes – No matter the size of the airport or number of passengers boarding the plane, TSA must adhere to strict security regulations. You must be at the airport at least one hour in advance of your flight to check-in and go through passenger screening. If you arrive later than the recommended time to clear the security measures, it is possible that you will not be allowed on the flight.
